Overview
BioFusion is a term coined by John D. Norseen to describe the increasing complexity of one part of the brain sharing its information with other parts through mathematical operations, resulting in emergent thought processes.
Norseen defines BioFusion as "the increasing complexity of one part of the brain to share, mathematically, its information with other parts of the brain in a common, emergent family of mathematical operations, to which the inverse function, the ability to recreate or trigger stored information by using the inverse mathematics is allowable."
Mathematical Foundation
Norseen bases his BioFusion concept on the work of Charles Sanders Peirce (semiotics), Karl Pribram (brain mapping), William Calvin (neuroscience), and others in neuroscience, logic, mathematics, and philosophy.
The core mathematical operation is described as Gabor-Like Functions in Hilbert Space, where neural structures interact with information to produce emergent mental activity. Norseen compares this process to Bernoulli's equations of airflow over an airfoil producing lift—information passing through neural structure creates thought at the exact moment perception occurs.
Neural Mechanisms
BioFusion operates through:
- Protein microtubulin (MT) structures that orchestrate reduction and quantum factors
- Electromagnetic E & H field mediated interactions of information with uniquely configured neural structures
- Protein reconfiguration as the mechanism for expressing work via energy conversion (IKE)
- Cross-modal integration across visual, auditory, and kinesthetic brain regions

Norseen provides several documented examples of BioFusion:
1. Visual perception: Panum's fusion space, horopter operations, dreams, and the linkage between invariant versus holistic storage in the posterior inferior temporal gyri (ITG) versus prosopopoeia in the fusiform gyrus (FG)
2. Cross-modal integration: Blending vision and verbal modalities in Temporal Cortex TC-22 and Broadmann's Area 44
3. Multiple brain regions acting independently yet concertedly for stable mental pictures of semiotic reality over years, producing a "portfolio of life" called the Human Condition

BioFusion provides the foundation for:
- Sentient machine development through mathematical domain operations beyond Gabor-Like Functions in Hilbert Space (potentially Walsh Transforms in Chu Spaces)
- Information Operations that can shape belief patterns by orienting individuals toward reflexive control in desired belief sets
- Truth verification and maintenance systems based on neural energy flow patterns showing truth requires less energy than deception
- Cortical Emulation Research (CER) software that replicates brain math functions, allowing synthetic species with culturally independent thought structures
Connection to Reflexive Control
BioFusion enables the inverse function—the ability to recreate or trigger stored information—which is central to Russian Reflexive Control theory. Norseen argues that controlling the inverse function of Gabor-Like Functions in Hilbert Space allows for:
- Mental deception and perception manipulation
- Recording and playback of complete Krylov Space (the steganographic "biomark" of an individual)
- Information injection from machines into humans or between sentient beings
